“Indian lifestyle disparities”

*మధ్యతరగతి అంతరంగంలో ఆ  #అంతరం అలాగే ఉండిపోయింది!*

*1)* చిన్నప్పుడు రైల్లో ప్రయాణం చేసేటప్పుడు – తినడానికి , ఇంటినుండి అమ్మ చేసినవి తీసుకెళ్ళేవాళ్ళం.

 కొంతమంది – రైల్లో కొనుక్కుని తినేవాళ్ళని చూసినపుడు మనమూ అలాగే కొనుక్కుని తినాలనిపించేది!

అప్పుడు నాన్న చెప్పేవాళ్ళు, *అది మన స్థాయికి చేయదగ్గది కాదు, డబ్బులున్న గొప్ప వాళ్ళు చేసేది అని!*

ఇప్పుడు పెద్దయ్యాక – 

మనం కొనుక్కుని తినే టైంకి…..

 ఆ పెద్ద వాళ్ళు , గొప్పవాళ్ళు ఆరోగ్య రీత్యా ఆహారం ఇంటినుండి తెచ్చుకుని తింటున్నారు.

*దాంతో ఆ అంతరం అలాగే ఉండిపోయింది .*

*2)* చిన్నప్పుడు కాటన్ దుస్తులు వేసుకుంటే – కొంతమంది టెర్లిన్ బట్టలు తొడుక్కునే వాళ్ళు.

 అదిచూసి అటువంటివి కావాలనిపించినపుడు, నాన్న చెప్పే వారు …

*అది ఖరీదైనది మనం అంత పెట్టగలిగేవాళ్ళంకాదని!*   

పెద్దయ్యాక – 

మనం టెర్లిన్ వాడటం మొదలు పెడితే …..

వాళ్ళు – కాటన్ కు దిగారు. ఇప్పుడు, కాటన్ దుస్తుల ధరే ఎక్కువ ! 

*దాంతో ఆ అంతరం అలాగే ఉండిపోయింది ..*

*3)* చిన్నప్పుడు ఆడుకుంటూ ఉన్న కాటన్ ప్యాంటుకే – మోకాళ్ళ దగ్గర చినిగితే , పారేసెందుకు మనసొప్పక అమ్మ లేదా టైలర్ తమ పనితనం చూపి నీట్ గా #రఫ్ చేసి ఇస్తే  …మళ్ళీ హ్యాపీగా వేసుకునేవాళ్ళం!

పెద్దయ్యాక చూస్తే – 

జనం ఆ మోకాళ్ళదగ్గర చిరుగులు ఉన్నవాటిని…. ఫ్యాషన్ పేరుతో #అధికధరలకు కొంటున్నారు !

*దాంతో ఆ అంతరం అలాగే ఉండిపోయింది …*

*4)* ఓ వయసులో మనకు – సైకిల్ కొనగలగడమే కష్టం.

 అదీ సాధించేసరికి – వాళ్ళు స్కూటర్ నడిపించేవాళ్ళు.

 మనం – స్కూటర్ కొనే సమయానికి ….

వాళ్ళు కార్లలో తిరిగేవారు.

 మనం కొంచెం ఎదిగి – మారుతి 800 కొనే సమయానికి ….

వాళ్ళు BMW ల్లో తిరిగారు.

 మనం రిటైర్మెంట్ వయసుకి  వచ్చిన కూడబెట్టుకున్న వాటితో  – కొంచెం పెద్ద కారు కోనేసమయానికి ….

 వాళ్ళు ఆరోగ్యావసరాలతో సైక్లింగ్ చేస్తున్నారు!

*దాంతో ఇప్పటికి ఆ అంతరం అలాగే ఉండిపోయింది* . .                        

ప్రతి దశలో ,

ప్రతి సమయాన ,

 విభిన్న మనుషుల మధ్య – స్థాయి అంతరం ఉండనే ఉంటుంది.

*ఆ అంతరం – నిరంతరం* ఎప్పటికి ఉండి తీరుతుంది.

రేపటిఆలోచనతో ఇవాళ్టిది వదులుకుని …..

 మళ్ళీ రేపటిరోజున – గతించిన  ఇవాళ్టి గురించి ,చింతించేకంటే,  

ఇవాళ అందినదానితో ఆనందిస్తూ , ఆస్వాదిస్తూ  రేపటికి  స్వాగతం పలకడం శ్రేయస్కరం.

*మనo …. మనవారి గురించి కాలాన్ని వెచ్చిద్దాం*

*మనం నవ్వుతూ ఉందాం*

 *జీవితం కూడా సంతోషంగా ఉంటుంది* 

చిన్నప్పుడు మా వూళ్ళో ఇద్దరు మొరటు వ్యక్తులు ఉండేవారు. ముఖ్యంగా వారిని మొరటు 

వారని ఎందుకన్నామంటే, వారు తల వెంట్రుకలు బాగా పెంచుకొని కొప్పు కట్టుకునేవారు. మరియు

చెల్లాడం కట్టుకునే వారు. 

ఇప్పుడు కొప్పు కట్టుకుని ఒకసారి తల అలా ఇదిరెస్తే, హీరో అయినట్ట్లే.

*దాంతో ఆ అంతరం అలాగే ఉండిపోయింది …*

*The #gap in the middle class remains!*

 *1)* When traveling by train as a child – to eat, we used to take what mother made from home.

 When we saw some people buying and eating on the train, we wanted to buy and eat too!

 Then my father used to say, *That is not something that should be done at our level, it is done by wealthy rich people!*

 Now grown up –

 By the time we buy and eat….

 Those big people and rich people are eating healthy food from home.

 *Thus the gap remained the same.*

 *2)* If you wear cotton clothes as a child – some people wear terlin clothes.

 When I saw that and wanted to do something like that, my father used to say…

 *It’s expensive and we can’t afford it!*

 grown up –

 If we start using terlin…

 They – went down to Cotton.  Now, cotton clothes cost more!

 *Thus the gap remained the same..

 *3)* The same cotton pants that we used to play with as children – if they get torn near the knees, we would throw them away if our mother or tailor showed us their work and gave them a neat #ruff…they would happily wear them again!

 When you grow up –

 People are buying those knee-length clothes at high prices in the name of fashion!

 *Thus the gap remained the same…*

*4)* At our age – it is difficult to afford a bicycle.

 When they achieve that – they drive scooters.

 By the time we buy a scooter…

 They used to travel in cars.

 By the time we grow up and buy a Maruti 800…

 They drove around in BMWs.

 With the savings we get to retirement age – when it’s time to buy a slightly bigger car…

 They are cycling with health needs!

 *So far the gap has remained the same* .  .

 At each stage,

 Every time,

 Between different people – there will always be a difference of level.

 *That gap – continuous* will remain forever.

 Leaving today with the thought of tomorrow

 Tomorrow again – instead of worrying about the past,

 It is good to welcome tomorrow by rejoicing and enjoying what is given today.

 *Manao …. let’s spend time about ours*

 *let’s keep smiling*

 *Life is also happy*

 As a child, there were two rude people in our family.  Especially rude to them

 Because they were not, they used to have well-grown hair and tied it.  And

 Those who pay.

 Now if you put on a hat and raise your head like that, it’s like becoming a hero.
