For more than 10 years, EPS’95 pensioners have been fighting a peaceful and democratic battle for justice.

Every year, thousands of elderly pensioners travel to Jantar Mantar to stage peaceful protests. Across India, they have organized agitations at the State, District, and EPFO Office levels. They have met Members of Parliament countless times, submitted memorandums, written letters, and appealed to every constitutional authority to raise their genuine issues in Parliament.

These are not sponsored protests.

These are self-financed struggles by senior citizens who survive on meagre pensions. Many borrow money or sacrifice their basic needs just to travel and make their voices heard. They have never damaged public property, never abused national leaders, and have always remained peaceful, disciplined, and respectful of the law.

Yet, their voices continue to be ignored.

There is little media attention. The Government remains silent. Their decades of contribution to nation-building appear to have been forgotten.

At the same time, the nation recently witnessed other groups protesting at Jantar Mantar receiving extensive media coverage and prompt government attention to their demands.

This raises a painful question:

What message is being sent to India’s honest pensioners?

Are the workers who spent their entire lives contributing to the nation’s economy less important than those who create unrest? Why are law-abiding senior citizens forced to wait endlessly while others receive immediate attention?

What is the fault of EPS’95 pensioners?

Is their only mistake that they trusted the system, contributed honestly throughout their working lives, and chose the path of peace instead of confrontation?

The demand of EPS’95 pensioners is simple—not charity, not favour, but justice, dignity, and a liveable pension after a lifetime of hard work.

A nation that ignores its elderly contributors weakens its own moral foundation. It is time to hear the silent cries of millions of EPS’95 pensioners and deliver the justice they have been waiting for over a decade.
