As our nation stands united in solidarity with the Indian military’s decisive actions against terrorism, a testament to our collective resolve for security and justice, we now implore your compassionate intervention to address the long-neglected plight of EPS 95 pensioners.

The current meagre pensions, offered under the Employees’ Pension Scheme 1995, are utterly inadequate to sustain a life of dignity.

These senior and very senior citizens, many of whom are poor, supportless, and even homeless, are trapped in a cycle of destitution, their lives marred by an unyielding struggle to survive.

We understand, Honourable Sir, that you are aware of the dire circumstances faced by these pensioners, perhaps from personal encounters with those who have sought your assistance.

We earnestly appeal to your inherent sense of justice and your commitment to social welfare to champion our cause.

The heart of our plea is simple: an immediate and substantial hike in the minimum pension, commensurate with the present-day cost of living and indexed to inflation.

This is not merely a financial request; it is a plea for human dignity, a call to restore the basic necessities of life to those who have contributed significantly to our nation’s progress.

The protracted delay in addressing this critical issue has plunged countless pensioners into a life of abject dependency, devoid of the basic comforts and respect they deserve.

Their lives are a testament to silent suffering, a stark contrast to the prosperity our nation strives for.

We implore you, Honourable Sir, to leverage your influential position within the NDA government to facilitate an immediate resolution through a focused cabinet discussion.
