Subject: Urgent Appeal for Decisive Action on EPS 95 Pensioner Demands in the CBT Meeting on October 13, 2025

Respected Sir,

We approach your esteemed office today with profound urgency, necessitated by the widespread and growing unrest among EPS 95 pensioners, currently visible through the desperate protests being conducted in New Delhi and Bengaluru.

These actions are a painful testament to the deep anguish caused by the long-standing and unsettled demands concerning the very survival and dignity of senior citizens.

As the Honourable Chairman of the Central Board of Trustees (CBT), we humbly and earnestly appeal to your humanitarian conscience to treat this matter not merely as a procedural issue but as a crucial matter of economic justice and the fundamental right to life.

We implore you to place the resolution of the following core demands as the foremost priority in the upcoming CBT meeting scheduled for October 13, 2025, ensuring they are not postponed under any circumstance:

The Humanitarian Imperative: Minimum Pension & DA
The existing meagre pension provided to the majority of EPS 95 pensioners is pitiable and deeply inadequate, pushing senior citizens into an unbearable struggle for survival.

We urgently request the decisive settlement of the Minimum Pension Hike linked to Dearness Allowance (DA), which is essential to ensure a basic level of economic security for these beneficiaries.

This one measure will provide immediate, tangible relief to millions of families.

Equality, Dignity, and Security
Furthermore, we seek your intervention to ensure that the following critical issues are also resolved once and for all:

* Higher Pension: The implementation of the higher pension must be done without any form of discrimination, ensuring equitable access for all eligible pensioners.

* Medical Facility: The immediate provision of an assured medical facility is non-negotiable, given the age and vulnerabilities of the pensioner community.

Sir, our collective aspiration is simply to live our remaining years with human dignity and to receive the just dues for decades of dedicated service.

Please do not let this year’s Deepavali festival be celebrated under the heavy shadow of economic despair. Grant us, through a compassionate and decisive acceptance of our legitimate demands, the gift of security and happiness.
