Minimum pension under Eps 95
There was no subject of the increase in minimum pension in the agenda of Pension & EDLI Implementation Committee (PEIC) a subsidiary of the Central Board of Trustees(CBT) administering EPS 95.
Therefore there was no possibility of any decision even under “any other subject.” Status Note is a regular feature updating the committee of the latest development in litigation and has nothing to do with a minimum pension.
Item No.3 in the agenda in no way concerns EPS 95. The meeting of CBT scheduled to be held on 6.9.2021 was not materialized.
In short, the meeting of PEIC which we thought will fetch some increase in minimum pension at the hands of the new Labour Minister after meeting delegations of the organizations proved to be of no meaning for us.

Missing of minimum pension in the agenda of the PEIC meeting indicates that there will be remote chances for coming up minimum pension in the next meeting of CBT. Normally issues recommended by PEIC which is the policymaking platform of EPFO come up in CBT.

By exception it can come up also, anything is possible nowadays. After meeting a delegation of NAC monitored by respected Hema Maliniji veteran actress of Bollywood second time with prime minister and assurance by him, we were expecting a declaration of minimum pension Rs.7500/- in parliament session but we were disappointed.
After meeting a delegation of Stanway Samiti with new labor minister Hon Bhupendaji Yadav we were expecting him to take the issue in the next meeting of PEIC/CBT which is also gone in vain.
There is no administrative head in the Govt. to supersede the prime minister who can ask the prime minister to consider the issue.
We are so scattered that we can not unite in dominating strength to pressurize Govt. even otherwise no organization other than bank, govt, railway unions, can attract the attention of the Govt by any sort of agitation.
The picture in litigation in court is also gloomy and not different where EPFO is stretching the cases as long as possible and our litigants are mute spectators.
It is worth worrying that there are loopholes in the law of which EPFO is taking fullest disadvantage, but our expert advocates can not patch up such holes and defend against an artificial attack of EPFO.
Friends, there seems no solution to this bad luck of ours. Most of the pensioners are not even line of justice but with hopes of higher pension.
God knows what is our destiny.

दोस्तों हमारे इस दुर्भाग्य का कोई हल नहीं दिखता। अधिकांश पेंशनभोगी न्याय की रेखा तक नहीं बल्कि उच्च पेंशन की आशा के साथ हैं।
