Hon. Sir,
With due respect it is submitted that the Nationwide Fasting Program was successfully organized on 01 June 2021 on the call of Commander Ashok Raut, the National President, National Agitation Committee by 67 lakhs EPS95 pensioners. This fast was organized “for remembrance of the promise” given by your Honourable self to the EPS95 pensioners,. All the pensioners of my state also participated in this fast enthusiastically.
The EPS 95 pensioners who have smart phones also tried to send the photos of their fasting along with their feelings to your good office.
A copy of the notice sent prior to the fast and a copy of the Representation forwarded to you after the fast by the National President,NAC is enclosed herewith.
In the last 5 years, after conducting various types of agitations across the country from Tehsil level to National level, all the agitations were withdrawn after repeated assurances by the Labor Minister except the Chain hunger strike infront of the Collector office,Buldhana, being the HQ of NAC. Today is the 897th day.
Hon.Sir,
It has been more than one year and 3 months since the assurance given by your Honorable self on Dtd.04.03.2020 to the representatives of NAC in the presence of Hon.Smt.Hema Malini Ji,MP Mathura.
These pensioners are looking to you with hopeful eyes.
Respected sir, it is requested that in order to give a New lease of life to the “EPS 95 pensioners their following demands may kindly be granted
1.A minimum pension of Rs.7500 + dearness allowance,
2.Higher pension on actual salary as per order of Hon. Supreme Court and as per Employees’ Provident Fund Organization letter dated 23.03.2017,
3.Free medical facility
4.Rs.5000 monthly pension to non-EPS 95 retired employees.
During or before the monsoon session of Lok Sabha, please provide justice to the old EPS’95 pensioners by providing them the right to live a dignified life in the family and in the society. .
