We TAPRPA AP state committee submit the following

Respected sir,

Sub: Request for resolving the grivances of EPS Pensioners: reg.

We the EPS pensioners more than 65 lacs worked in various public and private sector undertakings for a period of 30 to 35 years. We EPS pensioners after retirement drawing a minimum pension of RS 1000/- to RS 4000 only after leaving the pensioners those who are drawing pension on actual salary.

Sir at this old age we are suffering with higher cost of living, insufficient pension, poor economic conditions and health problems.

In this connection we submit that EPFO is fixing pension ignoring the directions in the Nakara case and leaving the right to live dignified way is snatched away.

Some governments are paying rupees 2500 to rupees 3000 as old age pension as a welfare measure to the senior citizens.

While in service we have given long service for the development of the country and to the public.
But after retirement we are pulling our lives with meager pension.

At the beginning of the scheme it was assured that this scheme will be reviewed every five years and the package will be improved but against this at every stage the facilities available in the scheme are snatched away. this is a great injustice to the EPF pensioners.

The Bhagat Singh koshiyari committee has recommended for payment of rupees 3000 with DA as minimum pension during 2014 and high empowered committee has recommended payment of rupees 2,000 as minimum pension but the government did not consider any of these committee reports and in return the government is telling that from 1914 they have been paying 1000 rupees as minimum pension and for this the central government is paying RS 800 crores against this in the form of subsidy.

The government is not showing any humanity on the senior citizens and EPS pensioners.

Regarding Higher Pension, EPFO has issued circular dated 23 03 2017 for implementation of pension on actual salary but again issued one more circular dated 31 5 2017 stating that the circular dated 23 3 17 is applicable to only to the members of un exempted trust members. Not for exempted trust members.

As per the above circulars EPFO sanctioned pension on actual salary to the some of the members but later on EPFO has stopped sanctioning pension on actual salary to all the members stating that there are some lapses in the sanction.

Further the EPFO has issued notices to the members stating that why the sanction can not be revoked due to which the EPS Pensioners are in great worry.

Presently the higher option/ higher pension case in your purview. hence we request your good self kindly resolve this matter at the earliest with humanitarian grounds and request you to give economic confidence to the EPS pensioners and do justice.

With Regards.

Yours faithfully
