The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Labor has recommended that the minimum pension under the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS) be raised from the current 1,000 to a minimum of 3,000.
The panel, headed by BJD MP Bhartruhari Mahatab, said in its report that the Center should look into complaints that employers failed to deposit PF assistance deducted from employees’ salaries into PF accounts and also defaulted on their own contribution.
